The Building Research Establishment (BRE) will be unveiling their innovative new BIM library, DataBook, at this year’s Digital Construction Week.
Paul Oakley, BIM Director at BRE, spoke about the new DataBook BIM Library in the Digital Built Environment Theatre at the show, giving attendees details about the new data store, which will be free to list and free to use.
DataBook is expected to revolutionise the process of communication between different BIM parties, allowing a universal format which will visibly improve efficiency and reduce costs. This will help solve the issues with current BIM providers, who all use different standards, and do not offer a complete range of products.
Paul is a RIBA accredited architect with almost 30 years’ experience, and has been instrumental in the development of DataBook. With a wealth of experience in AutoCAD and BIM, he is one of the leading industry authorities in BIM.
